Hostert...... please help

Hi

My Husband was born in Hostert, which I beleive is near Dusseldorf. I would like to do a trip to Hostert. But cannot find any information on Hostert, can anyone help.

There is a hamlet Hostert which belongs to Schwalmtal in the adminstrative district Düsseldorf.

Waldniel-Hostert in Schwalmtal

this facility was used as British Military Hospital and as Kent/Windsor School.

Thank you so much for your response, he was born in the Millatary hospital 48 years ago, I would like to book a break and take him back to his birth place, where would it be good to stay to visit this place?

|||

You could buy him this place. It%26#39;s for sale. ;-)

I agree im having a terrible time finding anything and as I want it to be a surprise I cant even ask him, apart from which he was a child when he left there so may not remember a great deal. I was thinking of maybe staying somewhere near Hostert, but not sure where. Im thinking of going on the 29th December till the 31st.

I have been to this area, not Hostert, the nearest large town would be Moenchengladbach. Enter -Hostert.de- into the google search engine, select maps and you get an overview of the area.

What will the New Year celebrations be like in Mönchengladbach? On New Years day will everything be closed?

|||

I have never spent New Years in Germany nor in England sorry can%26#39;t answer that. How is it celebrated in your country I wonder since you ask the question ?

|||

Hostert is not a very nice place . It was a Nazi euthanasia centre .

Later it was used by the british military as hospital and school .

In the little village Hostert , Waldniehl part of Schwalmtal near Mönchengladbach is nothing to do .

Stay in Düsseldorf , rent a car and visit the place one afternoon.
