I%26#39;m in the middle of a problem with hotel-board.com and they act unprofessional. I made 3 weeks ago a reservation,paid for it and all was confirmed. I got the voucher and everything looked ok. But when I wrote 3 days ago to the hotel to ask them if they can confirm my reservation they said they have none on my name.I wrote to hotel-board.com and they told me they didn%26#39;t make any reservation for me at that hotel (on their website it%26#39;s confirmed every time I check my booking) and it%26#39;s impossible to make one that hotel now. Now I don%26#39;t know how can I forced them to recognize their mistake and give me what I paid for. If you have some advise,please let me know. Thank you

If you have from hotel-board.com a confirmation that they did not make any reservation for you, they can%26#39;t charge you. Both statements in combination should sufficient for your credit card company to stop/regain the payment.
But generally:
Don%26#39;t use booking service where you have to pay anything in advance. There are enough good hotel booking services where you only have to pay directly with the hotel when checking out.

Useful hint for all kind of online purchases:
Check on the website who is the allegedly owner and see if this matches with the owner of the domain (using WHOIS).

Any good explanation why these entries don%26#39;t match? No? Than think twice before booking through such a site.
Albeit fulfilled here, but never buy from a site who does not state
- who owns it (company name, legal form, best with registration/tax ID of this company)
- where the company is located (street address, no post office boxes only)
- how you can reach them by phone or fax

The booking was made 3 weeks ago and it was all paid then. I have the confirmation from www.hotel-board.com and the hotel I should be staying in that there was no room reserved for me. But when I check my booking on www.hotel-board.com (I write my reservation id and it shows the status of the reservation) it%26#39;s all confirmed and they give me the prepaid voucher to show at the hotel when I check in. But there%26#39;s no room !!! I wanna write to Costumers%26#39; Association of Canada and complain. I have to check in on 22nd July and now I found out that I don%26#39;t have a place to stay.After the hotel told me that there%26#39;s no room booked on my name,I wrote to www.hotel-board.com and they answered me that it%26#39;s a confusion and they can%26#39;t provide me a room at that hotel.

Are you trying to book a room in Cologne?
If so, I like to use www.hotel.de or www.booking.com . My preferred hotel in Cologne is Hotel Colette, although the Merian is good and close to the rail station for those who wish a more central location.
As a last resort, note that the Cologne Tourist Office is next to the rail station and they book rooms.
