Couple hours

My wife and I are picking up family in Frankfurt Thursday morning. The two of us decided to spend the night before in Frankfurt. We arrive by train at 9:00 PM. We are just looking for a cool place to have a beer/drink like a beer garden or beer hall. We are in our mid 30s and not looking for anything late (maybe midnight at the latest. I have not booked our hotel yet. I was hoping to find a place near where we decide to drink. That shows you our priorities.

Frankfurt has more of a Applewine culture than a beer garden culture. So, we have applwine gardens and applewine pubs! One can of course go to most pubs or cafes and have a beer and just about anyplace will have outside seating, but there are places in Sachsenhausen which do NOT have beer, only applewine.

The fun places would be Adolf Wagners, Germania, Zum Gemalten Haus, on Schweizer strasse in Sachsenshausen. Dauth-Schneider in old Sachsenhausen. Zum Schoene Muellerin, Apfelwein Solze, or Zur Sonne in Bornheim.

Both the Schweizer strasse or the Berger strasse in Bornheim have very lively street pubs and cafes, and some have gardens too.

Frankfurt is pretty walkable by the way, though one can take the bus or the tram or the subway home until about 1 a.m.

Thanks. I appreciate it. We were looking for something unique/different and that sounds perfect.
