Airport to Intercity Airport Hotel

We are booked for a night at the Steinbergh Inter city Airport hotel. We arrive from a long haul flight and expect to be a bit worse for wear. I see the Airport have a shuttle which is free one way. (well included-nothing is free!) Can someone tel me how to go about catching it? The next day while we are still jet lagged(!) we need to be back for an early flight out. What would I expect to pay for a Taxi? Thanking you in advance.

You might want to send the hotel an email and ask them where you can find the shuttle. You can also ask them what the taxi costs from their hotel to the airport. They should be able to give you fairly accurate answers on this.

The shuttel bus to the Inter City goes from both terminals direct to the hotel. In T1 there are stops at both ends of the road outside the terminal - the hotel stops are fairly well signposted from the arrivals area. Bus runs about every 30 minutes.

Shuttle back to the airport is quicker than a taxi as it cuts through the some of the secure area.

Thank you for the quick reply. We are at Terminal 1. I was more concerned for the outgoing leg as we have a 9am flight and expect to be a bit jet lagged. I think there is a 5euro per head charge for the shuttle and I wondered if a taxi would just be easier.

Thank you for the advice. The Hotel got back with details as well. However, just how close is it? How long would it take to walk? We will have one trolley case each. We will have just gotten off our second long haul flight in 3 days and a stretch may be in order!! LOL

The hotel is on the ground of the former Frankfurt Air Base, the ex-military part of Frankfurt Airport. That%26#39;s on the opposite end of the airport to where the terminals are. Driving distance is 4 km. But as this is largely by autobahns where you must not walk on, it will be most likely even longer to walk.

Ah..well just a thought. Is there anywhere round the hotel for a walk or meal?
