i will be in munich for oktoberfest on 9/19 - 9/21.
I am very excited to have the opportunity to be there, but i%26#39;m not sure what to expect.
do i need any type of reservations to be in a tent or near the festivities.

reservations are only taken for parties of 8/10 or more. and i am not sure if you would be able to get any reservations at this time. you dont need reservations to get into the tents. just get there early and you should be fine. opening day (the 19th) might be a problem. we went last year and the tents were packed by 9am.
its a great atmosphere. you will really enjoy it.
