A few months ago, I came across a map on Trip Advisor that showed the locations of gas stations near Frankfurt International Airport. For some unknown reason, I didn%26#39;t save it !! Could anybody help me out ?
Any help would be appreciated !!

Which direction are you coming from? There is a gas station just outside (Gate 21) which is not that much more expensive than non-airport gas stations. Just follow the signs to Gate 21. From there it%26#39;s almost walking distance to the rental car drop off of Terminal 1 and a short drive to Terminal 2.
There is a huge Esso gas station at the roundabout outside T2 which is very expensive! I%26#39;d avoid that.

Larry, make sure you get a Diesel engine car. Milage is much better and it%26#39;ll also save you a few cents per gallon compared to regular.
Generally speaking gas stations at airports and freeway rest areas are more expensive than others. Also brand-name ones (like Shell, Esso, Aral, etc.) are more expensive than no-name ones or the ones at supermarkets and grocery stores (e.g. real, Globus, etc.)
Gas will also be a cent or two per liter more expensive in the middle of the black forrest where there is no competition as e.g. in the Freiburg area.
To help you look even more forward to refilling your car here are today%26#39;s prices converted to $ per gallon:
Diesel: $8.16
Regular: $8.46

Hi Andreas, Thank you for the eye-opener !! It looks like the car part of our holiday ( Nuremberg %26gt; Garmish-Partenkirchen %26gt; Triberg %26gt; Frankfurt ) is going to be more expensive than our plane tickets !! I had asked for a diesel, but it wasn%26#39;t guaranteed . Here in the US of A, we%26#39;re complaining about gas reaching $4 a gallon !! Thank you very much for your help !! Larry

Hi Andreas: We also will be looking to fill up before we hit Frankfurt Airport coming from Kreuzwertheim, (stoping at Lindenhof for lunch) before dropping car off at FRA Airport.
