Supermarkets

Hi,

Which of these supermarkets have the most variety of products and are the cheapest?

Norma, Aldi, Lidl, Rewe, Edeka, or Tengelmann?

Thanks

Aldi and Lidl will be your cheapest. Rewe is cheap if you only buy the %26quot;Ja%26quot; products. Tenglemann is the most expensive I think, as I have never been to Edeka or Norma. I go to Penny Markt a lot. Rewe will have more selection than Aldi or Lidl.

Real is huge and will have a larger selection as will Toom. Depends on what you are looking for. Produce, meats, dry products, frozen, paper products. I tend to not go to just one store. I visit the open produce markets, go to my local Turkish store, some days Penny, the next Aldi, and sometimes Rewe, other days I might visit an Asian store or the local butcher or fish market. Do not limit yourself.

Norma, Aldi and Lidl discounters. Limited variety of products. But cheap.

Others are e.g. Penny and netto

With Edeka it depends what type of market it is.

E-center: huge

Edeka-neukauf, Edeka-aktiv: medium (comparable to Rewe)

Edeka nah und gut: small

Edeka Treff Discount: basic (rather a mom-and-pop store)

Tengelmann: good variety but expensive

E.g. the discounters have 2 sorts of apple juice. One pallet each.

Tengelmann has 10 times more sorts on one quarter of the space.
