River cruise moorings in Potsdam to Potsdamer Platz in Berli

We are arriving by a river cruise to Potsdam. Not sure exactly where they moor. Our hotel in Berlin is Lindemann Hotel Fjord

The tour boats stop near the Lange Brücke (Long Bridge) next to Potsdam Hbf (main train station).

Do you know if it is possible to leave luggage at the station in Potsdam whilst we visit the Sanssouci Palace and gardens?

It seems crazy to take them into Berlin and then travel out again to visit the Palace.
