The 4 of us will be arriving by train and need to get to Dock 1 or 2. What is the easy way to make this short trip? The MVV bus info is only in German, which I apologize for not comprehending. We will all have luggage. Are taxis available and resonably priced? We will also need the return at the end of our cruise. Thanks in advance for any help.

If you travel on a Bavaria Ticket to Passau this tiket will also cover the buses in Passau.
Taxis are of course also available.

We are using the Austrian equivalent (ERT) when arriving, so I assume that would not work for Passau buses. But, if I advance buy the Bavaria ticket we will use when leaving, we might be able to use that for the Passau city bus, assuming I can figure out the system.

True. Covers the regional trains to Passau but not the buses.

As you know when you will be back in Passau by boat you can already buy the Bavaria Ticket at Passau station when arriving from Austria for the date you return to Passau. Than you can after arrival just show your Bavaria Ticket to the driver and hop on a Passau city bus.
