Has anyone out there stayed at Gaestehaus Edlhuber, or do you know where it is? We booked three nights there (in a couple weeks) but will be arriving by train and now I%26#39;m worried that we%26#39;re staying in too many places too far from train stations! We%26#39;re also staying in a hotel in Munich that is supposedly a 10-15 minute from train station. We%26#39;ll have rolling duffels with us.

Guess you mean the Hauptbahnhof (main train station). Than this is rather close. Munich has an excellent local public transport system and there are for sure stops closer to your hotel. If you arrive at Munich Airport your ticket into Munich is good to any train station, S-Bahn, U-Bahn, tram or bus stop in Munich.
To Mittenwald the best deal is the Bavaria Ticket. EUR 28,00 for 2-5 persons. Also this ticket covers all local public transport in Munich.

Don%26#39;t worry - about 15-20 min on foot. You can go from the train station right to the central street, then to the left and go till the river. There you will see blue sign Edlhuber hotel. Or you can choose a little bit shorter but winding route. But at first time it can be confusing. Third option is taxi :). Don%26#39;t forget to visit Leutasch gorge :). It is not far from Edlhuber hotel.

Thank you, Kelrodis. That%26#39;s exactly what I was looking for -- I had read elsewhere that it was a bit tricky to find. But it sounds pretty straightforward.
