Seat Reservations

4 of us are traveling on September 17th at 11:04 am. from Dresden to Berlin, when I try to reserve seats on the DB Bahn site I%26#39;m not able to get 4 seats together. My questions are

1/ will we get all 4 seats in the same coach.

2/ Do we need a reservation at all.

3/ What is a Dauer- Spezial Fare

How do you know? Does the DB timetable says this?

Thursday 11am is not exactly a peak travel time. At least as a single traveler I would not reserve at all at this time.

1) Normally yes. Normally the 4 seats will be next to each other.

If looking at the seat numbers this must not logical. Seat numbers on the trains are an art of their own.

3) a discounted special offer

- any trip inside Germany for EUR 29 (39, 49 ...)

- only good for the connection bought for

- no change

- no refund

- can be bought earliest 89 days before departure

- can be bought latest 3 days before departure

- number of these specials per train is limited. If the cheapest category (EUR 29) is sold out, the next category goes on sale. If all specials are sold out only standard fare tickets are left (they cannot sell out).

Thanks for the quick response.

When I try to book the tickets a message in red appears saying my reservation cannot be completed as per my request (4 seats together) would I like to continue with the reservation or continue without a reservation. The only concern I have is I just received my ticket from Prague to Dresden and all 4 adults are on the one ticket so if we are in different cards how do we produce a ticket for the ticket agent.

Is this now about Prague to Dresden or about Dresden to Berlin?

Did you select the seat reservation option %26quot;only with table%26quot;?

Did you try to buy a ticket for Dresden to Berlin and a seat reservation at the same time? Or did you try to buy a %26quot;seat reservation only%26quot;?

I tried to but a ticket and seat reservation at the same time.

When I went through the booking process on www.bahn.de for your train I had no problems getting 4 seat reservations in a %26quot;Grossraumwagen%26quot;, 2nd class.

Definitely jump on the Dauer-Spezial fare. Saves a lot of money.

Other option: bus.
