Trip to Konigssee

I will be in Berchtesgaden in December and would like to see the Konigssee.I will not have a car. Can you take public transport to the point where the boats depart at konigssee from the Berchtesgaden train station?

You can take a bus or walk (approximately 40 min), but there won´t be any boats running in december.

If you stay in this area at a place where you have to pay for this (i.e. not visiting relatives or so) you will receive a Kurkarte (guest card) which entitles you to free rides on nearly all of these bus lines. E.g. on the one to lake Königssee. Not covered are only a few mountain bus lines, e.g. up to the Eagle%26#39;s Nest. But these won%26#39;t run in December anyway.

Boats on Königssee operate all year as long the lake is not frozen (not common and certainly not in December).

Connections will be less frequent than in summer and also taking the shorter daylight hours into account.
