Getting from Munich Airport to Campingplatz Thalkirchen

Hello,

What is the best way to get from Munich airport to Campingplatz Thalkirchen?

Many Thanks

S8 or S1 to Marienplatz, change there to U3 in the direction of Fürstenried West and get off at Thalkirchen. The campsite is as far as I remember about 10 min walk from the station entrance.

Good taxi service at the airport... nice cream coloured Mercedes Benzs.... Tell the driver %26#39;Campingplatz Thalkirchen%26#39; and Bobs your uncle... travel in style... enjoy

%26gt; travel in style...

If 70-80 € one way is worth traveling in style to the OP, then, yes.

|||

Or mix em, take the S-Bahn to Marienplatz or Hauptbahnhof and taxi the rest of the distance :-)

You can find this information and other in this leaflet of the Campingplatz Thalkirchen

The campsite is well connected by public transport. From a budget point of view taxi is really not necessary.

The walk to a taxi stand from the S-Bahn station is much longer and more strenuous than to the U-Bahn platforms...

..well the OP did ask for the %26#39;best%26#39; way, not the %26#39;cheapest%26#39; way... :)

But it it is also much shorter than the walk from U-Bahn station Thalkirchen to the camp ground... so if he%26#39;s got heavy luggage, that would have to be considered. Just giving options. If luggage is not an obstacle, I would take the S8 to Marienplatz, change to the U3 to Thalkirchen and then take Bus 135 for two stops to Maria-Einsiedl. From there it%26#39;s a short 5 minute walk.
