Hi all
Im planning to visit Berlin with my friend for 1 night to watch a football match at the Olyimpic Stadium (probably Hertha vs Hamburg on 3rd October). Unfortunatly I know nothing about Berlin especially what would be the so called good area and bad areas. We%26#39;ll be flying into Schonnefeld airport so we%26#39;re looking to stay in an area that is easy to get to from airport, easy to get to the stadium from and also either close to good bars/nightlife or have good transport links to/from nightlife.
Could someone recommend such an area? We are only staying for 1 night so the Hotel itself doesnt have to be first class but we just want somewhere safe and well situated.

Your best bet would be hotels around Alexanderplatz (two direct trains to the Olympiastadion, and trains to the Scheonefeld airport); or Zoologischer Garten station.
