fra to hhn

Hey All!

I am arriving at FRA airport at 09:35 and my next flight leaves at 18:45 from HHN. What is the best way to travel between airports? Cheapest! And since there is a layover.... will I have time to leave my luggage somewhere at HHN and visit something in the area?

Hahn Airport, a former military airfield, is in the middle of nowhere. Hahn village has 174 inhabitants.

For a layover take the S-Bahn to Frankfurt Hbf (EUR 3,70 - 11 minutes), store your luggage there in a locker. Than you can explore Frankfurt a bit. The shuttle buses to Hahn start from Frankfurt Hbf.

Does the S-Bahn leave from the FRA airport? And at the HoF train station(?) are teh busses there the same company ... the Omnibusse? Or am I now looking at a more local branch?

Yes, the S-bahn to Frankfurt is available at the airport. There are luggage lockers at the Main Train Station - Hauptbahnhof. The buses to Hahn are parked outside the south exit from the Hauptbahnhof. The bus takes about 1.5 hours or so depending on traffic and leave just about every hour. Schedules are inside the tourist info at the Hauptbahnhof if you do not have one from the website. Make sure you leave yourself enough time to get to Hahn. Ryan Air is very strict about closing off their check-in counters. So, if you want to be at Hahn by 17:00, you will need to leave Frankfurt on the 15:00 bus I would think.

Yes. The S-Bahn station is in the basement of Terminal 1.

The name of the bus company is %26quot;Bohr%26quot;.

Omnibusse is just the official word for buses. To distinguish them from Airbus or the computer bus.

The Bohr buses serve the route Frankfurt Hbf - Frankfurt Airport - Hahn Airport.
