Last minute to Berlin

It is very likely that we will be doing a last minute trip to Berlin this weekend. We would have all of Saturday and most of Sunday to sightsee. I know this must be a very frequently-asked question but what are the things we absolutely must not miss? Any traditional places to eat for food as well? Please keep in mind that we are both quite young and active and thus can probably fit in a whole lot -- we want to see as much as possible!

Thanks :)

I would suggest starting the day with a walking or bike tour (recommended companies: Fat Tire, Insider Tour, etc.).

Then, see a museum or two - %26quot;must see%26quot; museums:

* Jewish Museum (at least, its architecture - take an audio guide)

* The Pergamon

* Gemaeldegalerie from classic (Baroque) Great Masters paintings

* Hamburger Bahnhof for cutting edge contemporary art

* Museum of Technology, not only for complete geeks

In the evening, either go to an organised pub crawl or DIY in Berlin%26#39;s clubs and bars

On the second day, take an hour with the site-seeing boat, from there don%26#39;t forget the KaDeWe department store (even if you%26#39;re not into shopping...), see more sites and don%26#39;t forget just to find a nice beach-bar or a beer garden and live for an hour like a true Berliner - drinking beer and looking at others...

I%26#39;d defintly recommend a walking tour. Berlin%26#39;s a big place so it%26#39;s the best way to get your bearings and fit all the main sights into just a few hours. I%26#39;d recommend this one:

If the weather is good, do take a canal boat trip around Berlin. They do a range of trips from an hour to 8 hours.
