booking online train tickets

Hi there

I am trying to get some prices on train routes to establish if it is cheaper to buy separate or get a german rail pass. I have a couple of questions..

I believe the German rail pass also covers rail travel in Switzerland.. is this correct?

When I type in a departure/destination name.... numerous options appear! I thought each place had only one station. I would like to get to

Zurich (main) - Tubingen

Tubingen - Stuttgart

Stuttgart - Baden Baden

Baden Baden to Frankfurt Airport

No. A German Rail Pass is only good to reach Basel Bad Bf, a German (DB) train station on Swiss soil.

Not necessarily. But apart from railway stations the DB timetable lists also tram and bus stops. Just type in the name of the place and proceed without anything selecting from the appearing drop down list.

For Tübingen you have to use either

Tübingen

or

Tuebingen

Hauptbahnhof (Hbf) = main railway station

Bahnhof (Bf) = railway station

hint: if a place has a Hbf it will also have other train stations.

Ah, thanks so much Abalada. This translation will help enormously. Cheers
