2 adventure seeks with 4 days in Berlin what to do...

Hi there my friend and I are going to be traveling to Berlin in late october for 4 days and we were thinking about staying in Mitte. We heard its in the central part of Berlin, has a great night life, and is near all the subways. Ideally we want to see the historic areas in the day but be in the action at night. Ie museums, architecture, clubs, food, and drink. Any suggestions on where to stay they may include a kitchenette but in a good price range? What are the musts that we have to see? Clubs we should check out? Thanks for reading. :)

We had a great time in Berlin, but the highlight in a strange way was the tour we took to Sachsenhausen (concentration camp). We learned a lot and it was very sobering, often distressing. Maybe go clubbing that night to re-energise yourself and connect with life?

We also loved just wandering the city (took the free tour with Sandemans), could have given the Checkpoint Charlie musuem a miss (too crowded, not enough info about what we were looking at). Hunt out the remains of the Berlin Wall definitely. Good bars and food in Prenzlauer Berg but can%26#39;t remember names (too good eh?)

We stayed in the Pfefferbett Hostel, just across the street from the u-bahn and 10 mins walk from Alexanderplatz, good hostel and very well located. I%26#39;ve posted a review- good despite the fact it was still being built when we arrived! Down the road from Prenzlauer Berg so handy at night.

Thanks Gaby for the info. I looked up the hostel but they didnt have any private rooms open. Yet I liked the open atmosphere that the photos showed! Do you think its a good idea to rent bikes just for the leisure value?

Hi gabby, I also went to Sachsenhausen , with ADAM from the sandemans tour. he really made the difference in the tour!

Berlin has much to offer if you like to walk. There are many different Berlins, you have to see what fit´s better to you. There is the Kufrst. area, Mitte, Alexander Platz, Sony Center, Zoo area, Tempenholf area....

For historical areas I REALLY recomend you take a tour.

I´m not the fan of guides tours, but Berlin has so much history, that someone always add a LOT to the place you are seeing.
